Have You Tried Facebook Ads?

Many hosting accounts now come with advertising credits for Google Ads or Facebook Ads.  We love these credits and often suggest our clients take advantage of them.  Why?  Well, they help you understand who is your audience actually is and how they are finding you.

Using Google AdSense will let you test ads to see which keywords drive clicks to your site (and which drive sales!)

Facebook Ads are newer on the scene and they let you target specific audiences and/or relationships which tells you a bit more about your clientele.

Tips for Facebook Ads:

  1. Make the picture “on topic” but eye catching.  Have a sense of HUMOR!  I remember clicking on a picture of a silly looking laughing horse just because it was so funny, even though I had no interest in the “equine toothpaste” that it turned out it was selling.  (Maybe that was over effective, but it did get me to act.)
  2. Choose your audience carefully.  You can do several ads–testing several different audiences.
  3. Good news–Facebook Ads are relatively less expensive, but set your budget and use your credit wisely.  Test opportunities.
